An important aspect of God as Creator is his infinite wisdom. Lots of things happen in our lives that we don’t like and don’t understand. Often we grumble and complain, thinking the world or even God is against us. We forget to be thankful, forgetting that he loves us and he is in control.

Romans 8:28 says that he works everything for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purposes. If we believe that, we should thank him, and like James says to consider it joy when we encounter trials.

This truth is behind a lot of what goes on in the lives of the heroes of Fly Like a Penguin.

God does indeed have a plan for our individual lives, He loves us, and His will is good.
